Something what should be said a long time ago

Here is something what every coach and player, even goalkeeper should be aware of. Not only in floorball, but in any ball sport (or any sport in general).

I have been a goalie for 16(or 17) years now. I have been playing in many teams starting from my teenage years in Latvian Highest League, practicing with men and playing for National Team, continuing in Swedish both Highest and 2nd highest league and even in Czech Republic last year and I have been experiencing a lot.

My passion for this sport is so huge that I seek for perfection and greatness in what I do. My mental values I dare to compere with the greatest hockey, football and floorball goalies. I dare to call myself a goalie with NHL goalies attitude.

Players makes a goalie a better one.
In practice when you as a player waste a shot over the net, you basically take away the opportunity for a goalie to give its best performance on that shot. Of course it depends even on goalkeeper if it is willing or not to give that kind of effort in practice. Imagine if half of a team misses the net. How many shots in practice you set in/on net? 80%? 75%?

As a player I hope, that you understand the responsibility you have in case of your goalkeeper. In your hands, in your preparation for practice both physical(food intake, sleep) and mental(focus), its you who make your goalie to become the best version he can be.

In most of every practice there should be given the maximum effort(do as good or better as you do in game) of every exercise the coach gives.
Understanding for "why we are doing this exercise, and why should I do like this or that in given situation- analyzing the both situation and exercise" is granted for increased performance and accomplishments of a game.

Bring out the best sides of each other and help to increase your both performance by focusing on whats important. Find that balance! You are ONE TEAM.
